Brendan Beachman was born and raised in the tiny mining community of Craig, Colorado (South Park incarnate). He is a graduate of Montana State University, where he studied film/photography, with an emphasis on screenwriting/directing and production design. His senior thesis film "Stasis" (2008) played at festivals worldwide.
In '09 he made the intelligent, well informed decision to move to LA sight unseen and broke as a joke. Somehow, through stupid luck, or just plain dogged determination (most likely a combo of both) he has Forest Gumped his way into a successful directing career. Over the past 15 years, he has cut his teeth writing/directing/producing/editing/sound designing, hundreds of advertisements & is now a full time commercial director with worldwide representation. He specializes in performance-heavy cinematic and stylized dark comedy and horror.
His passion forever remains with narrative film, so he has also written and directed many festival award winning short films, including the semi-biographical dark comedy, "Intersection", and the recently released dramedy "A Wedding Day" which picked up festival honors for short film at Newport Beach Film Festival, audience awards for best short film at Dances with Films, Calgary Underground, and Julien Dubuque Film festivals, as well as best short film at Wyoming International Film Festival. His most recent short film IT'S ALL FINE is world premiering at the prestigious, Oscar qualifying Hollyshorts Film Festival on August 15th, 2026.
He also has two horror shorts featured on the wildly popular Gunpowder and Sky platform ALTER.
His award winning feature screenplay, IMMOLATION -- written in tandem with Justin Boyes-- is currently optioned and slated to film Summer of 2027.
When not obsessing over film, he's a longtime punk drummer, outdoor enthusiast, sandwich lover, and friend to all dogs... but most importantly, he's a Husband to an incredible woman, and Dad to one rad 6 year old and one adorable 2 year old.
